Since its founding in 1972, Kira Foods Co. has been producing dried vegetables made from fresh, delicious, seasonal 100% Japanese vegetables at their factory in Ōzu Town, Kumamoto.

Easy, Convenient, and Long-Lasting Dried Vegetables

Kira Foods' dried vegetables are boiled before drying, so they can be rehydrated in about 3 to 10 minutes with hot water, offering a texture almost like fresh vegetables.

They come pre-cut into convenient sizes, requiring no washing or chopping, and produce no food waste.
Lightweight and easy to handle, they can be stored at room temperature for 6 months to 1 year, making them perfect for pantry stock or emergency food supplies.

No unnecessary additives are used; only a minimal amount of glucose is added to preserve flavor, color, and rehydration quality (some ingredients contain no glucose at all).

No washing, peeling, or cutting is needed—just rehydrate and enjoy nutritious vegetable dishes with ease.

Spinach from Kyushu

They use domestically grown spinach, primarily cultivated by our own farm or sourced from local producers in Kumamoto Prefecture.

Their company-owned farm is located in Ōzu Town, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto, where vegetables are grown in mineral-rich volcanic ash soil.
In a strictly controlled environment, we cultivate approximately 130 tons of spinach annually on a total farm area of 12 hectares.

By drying the spinach, we remove the distinctive bitterness and odor typical of leafy greens, making it easy to enjoy with just a 5-minute soak in boiling water.

How to eat?
It can be used in a wide variety of dishes such as soup ingredients, ohitashi (Japanese-style boiled greens), gratin, pasta, and miso soup.
